Native, the music supervision and composition arm of Soho audio facility Jungle, has announced the appointment of Rachel Menzies. Menzies, who has over 10 years’ experience working in music publishing, will be tasked with business development and music supervision duties at Native.

Native creative director Dan Neale says: “Rachel has the perfect and rare combination of skills that make her a logical addition to our team. Her in-depth knowledge of music rights issues, musical genres and how to take a brief properly are second to none, and we’re really looking forward to working with her.”

Menzies began her career at West One Music, where she played a pivotal role in growing the company into one of the biggest independent music production companies in the world. In 2013, she was hired as director of sales and business development at Musicmetric, helping to accelerate global expansion into music, games, books, TV and film. She has also been consulting since 2014 and will retain her position as director of Hookline.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining Native,” Menzies said. “I’ve been hugely impressed by the company’s achievements since launch and look forward to working with the team to help drive new business and deliver creative and innovative solutions for our clients.”
