Profusion opens new Scandinavian office

test 11 November 2008

DENMARK: The UK-headquartered audio distributor’s new office is situated near Copenhagen, writes PSN-e. Headed up by business development manager Bjarne Vonger-Lorenzen (pictured), the new Danish sales office is said to form part of Profusion’s strategy to enhance its presence across Europe.

Profusion already has a head office and warehouse in the UK, and offices in Germany, Spain and Frank. Manufacturers represented by the company include Wolfson Micro, THAT Corp, Syncomm, TC Applied Technologies, SPIN Semiconductor, UTC, Wavefront and SANKEN.

“The Nordic Region has a very strong and cutting-edge audio sector which our specialised semi-conductors are well suited to,” said Profusion’s managing director, Keith Persin. “Bjarne has over 18 years’ experience in component distribution and technical design, and will be able to provide full support to these companies.”

“The technologies we offer cover a wide range of applications – anything from high power amplifiers to ultra low noise microphone pre-amplifiers,” said Vonger-Lorenzen. “Our Nordic customers will now have much better support, not only from Profusion but also the manufacturers that we work closely with.”

This month’s Pro Sound News Europe carries a major feature on business in Scandinavia.
