Penn Elcom launches ‘near-silent’ fan to keep equipment cool in warm weather

Loudspeaker component manufacturer Penn Elcom has launched a near-silent exhaust fan to keep equipment cool in warm conditions.

The CoolRac FT-80-Q-FC exhaust fan can be mounted on a range of flight case racking equipment, providing thermal regulation for AV, TV and lighting equipment.

It functions by expelling hot air from the front of the flight case rack, preventing damage that could lead to thermal failure.

Digital controls give accurate heat management via continuous temperature monitoring and ‘set-and-forget’ fan control. All the components are optimised for quiet running – at just 22.5 dBA – have over-temperature alarms and benefit from running off a universal power supply.

Comprising nine fan blades, installation is ‘fuss-free’ with a fitting template included with the product.
