OHM (UK): it’s fair enough for new appointment

test 9 February 2010

UK: In what is almost certain to be a pro-audio first, OHM (UK) Ltd now has a ‘fairground representative’ in the form of David Hackett, reports PSN-e. A member of a well-established Lancashire Showman’s dynasty, Hackett (pictured with OHM’s TRS-115 and BR-12 speakers) is a long-time OHM user and has recently started promoting the audio brand around the UK’s fairgrounds.

"Fairgrounds bring a unique set of problems for the sound provider," said Hackett, who recently handed over the day-to-day running of his rides to his son, David Jnr. "The system must supply high quality music supply high quality music reproduction and clear safety announcements to the public whilst on the ride without interfering with adjacent attractions. I have used OHM for a number of years and I am pleased to become a dealer of their products."

"We have always been interested in the fairground sound business and now is an ideal time to be promoting British built products," added OHM sales manager Clive Kinton. "David is a very well-known and respected showman and we are looking forward to a long working relationship with him."

OHM loudspeakers have been used on a variety of fairs in the North West, including the Wirral Show and Liverpool Prescott.
