NEXT-proaudio for Latvia’s Bachelors Park Pavilion4 January 2016
A LA122 line-array system has been installed in Vecpuišu parka paviljons (Bachelors park pavilion) in Valmiera by NEXT-proaudio’s Latvian distributor, 3S SIA.
Since its inception as a restaurant in 1914, the venue has fallen victim to several fires. Today, it was been completely rebuilt as an event hall for corporate parties and small-scale concerts.
Overseeing the installation was event specialists SIA Decibel, who contracted 3S to supply and install the system.
Room simulations and calculations with Ease Focus were made by Arturs Cintins, technical director of 3S SIA. He also developed and implemented FIR filters for the system.
“SIA Decibel is long term customer of ours and he was sure it has to be a NEXT-proaudio system, so (Decibel general manager Aivis Balodis) called me,” explains Einars Cintins, manager of 3S SIA.
“The choice was an LA122 line array system, which is maybe a bit massive for the room, but it can handle anything from a jazz trio to a metal show. That gives the venue unlimited flexibility. I’m confident we’ve built a proper system.”
According to NEXT-proaudio, the venue’s owner expected the system to sound good, but the results surpassed his expectations.
Additionally, the company reports that the FOH engineer who ran the opening show commented that he “never mixed on anything that sounds so sweet, transparent and free of distortion or colouration”.
