NAMM 2014: CEntrance to showcase 'MixerFace’

Following a successful crowdfunding run on Indiegogo, the MixerFace mobile recording interface by CEntrance will be previewed at NAMM 2014. MixerFace features two studio-grade microphone pre amplifiers allowing professional recording on smartphones, laptops and tablets.   Mixerface trails the release of the top-selling HiFi-M8 portable digital to analogue converter and headphone amplifier. The HiFi-M8 will also be featured at NAMM 2014.

CEntrance managing director, Michael Goodman, states: "Getting the latest gear first has its advantages, so we decided to crowd-fund MixerFace to speed up the product introduction. This parallels our recent crowd-sourced efforts with the HiFi-M8, but takes that a step further by opening the process up to the general public."   The unit features switchable 48V phantom power, independent gain controls with LED level monitoring, a headphone amp and 24-bit/192kHz converters. The handheld, battery powered device also features two Neutrikcombo jack inputs with custom low-noise mic preamps.   Goodman adds: "MixerFace shares battery-powered technology with the HiFi-M8 and leverages our experience with small recording devices such as our popular MicPort Pro. Today’s smart phones and tablets have become serious music production tools, and with Mixerface we are adding a professional, mobile audio capture solution."                                                                                 www.mixerface.com
