Audio supplier Westfalen Sound (or POOLsound) – part of German event production giant POOLgroup and – has added three complete Yamaha M7CL-48ES systems, each comprising a console and three SB168-ES stage boxes, to its inventory.

The high-profile purchase underlines the popularity of a live sound configuration based around the Yamaha M7CL-48ES console, SB168-ES stage boxes and EtherSound multicore.

For Westfalen Sound – now often referred to as POOLsound – it’s a further addition to a Yamaha console inventory that already includes six standard M7CL-48s and two PM5Ds.

Carl Cordier, MD of Westfalen Sound, commented: “This purchase was a substantial financial commitment, but the quality and reliability of Yamaha products made it an easy decision. If you also take into account the way Yamaha equipment holds its value, it has been a very wise investment.”

Employing approximately 200 people across its various divisions, the POOLgroup is a multi-disciplinary production business encompassing sound, lighting, video and more.
