Galician loudspeaker manufacturer Idea has named Joan La Roda as its senior loudspeaker designer. “It’s the enthusiasm and true commitment […] of everybody at Idea that encouraged me to join in,” La Roda comments. “I believe knowing where you are aiming to is far more important than your position in the market and the industry – and Idea definitely knows where it is aiming.”

UK/ROI Harman distributor Sound Technology has appointed Stuart Strachan (pictured above right) to the newly created role of live sound project engineer. Strachan has a remit to “demonstrate and develop awareness of Harman’s new-generation of JBL, Soundcraft, AKG, Crown, Lexicon and dbx products for the live sound industries”.
