Meyer, Martin and Community to launch new product at ISE 2008

test 18 December 2007

NETHERLANDS: The audio contingent at the next edition of Integrated Systems Europe is on course to unveil an encouraging amount of fresh product, with new loudspeaker equipment likely to be particularly well-represented. Meyer Sound, Martin Audio, Community Professional and Listen Technologies are just four of the companies to be talking up their new launches as the 2008 event – floorspace at which is now officially sold out – draws near, writes David Davies.

New from Meyer Sound is the self-powered MM-4XP miniature loudspeaker (pictured), described as the long-awaited self-powered version of the MM-4 miniature wide-range speaker. Containing all amplification and corrective processing onboard, the MM-4XP receives 48V DC from an external power supply on a five-pin EN3 connector that also carries balanced audio.

The focus of Martin Audio’s ISE presence will be on versatile micro-line array OMNILINE. According to the company, the system’s modular approach and scalability makes it suitable for a wide variety of applications – from bars and sports venues to churches and large public spaces. “Slim and unobtrusive, with soft lines that minimise its visual presence in an architectural environment, the OMNILINE has been designed specifically with systems integrators in mind,” said national sales manager Simon Bull.

Community Professional, meanwhile, is not only celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2008 – it is also making its ISE debut. Highlighted products during this inaugural appearance will include the latest addition to the iBOX series, the i2W8 two-way, full-range loudspeaker system. Incorporating 600W programme power handling, the multipurpose i2W8 is available in either black or white painted finish.

Other manufacturers set to showcase their latest loudspeaker developments include in-akustik (AmbienTone sound walls), Fohhn Audio (a new range of design speaker systems) and SoundTube (the HP1290i 12″ two-way hanging speaker).

It won’t all be about loudspeakers, of course. Companies active in other areas of pro-audio with plans to unveil new or recent items include Listen Technologies (the latest additions to its FM transmitter and display receiver ranges), Shure (the UR1H high-power bodypack and new miniature microphone options) and Sennheiser (a mobile transmitter for visitor guidance system guidePORT).

Integrated Systems Europe 2008 is scheduled to take place at the Amsterdam RAI from January 29th to 31st.
