Mackie SRM550, SRM650, SRM185014 August 2013
What is it? A powered speaker range of three models all offering 1.6kW power handling and enhanced onboard digital processing. Details The SRM550 combines a 12" high-output LF driver with a 1.4" titanium dome compression unit in an all-wood, internally-braced cabinet with a rugged 18-gauge steel grille and fine-textured, black cabinet finish. The enclosure is front ported for maximum low-end extension and employs high-definition audio processing and Mackie’s patented acoustic correction technology developed in conjunction with EAW. The design also incorporates a precision 2-way digital crossover plus driver time alignment and phase correction circuitry. One-button speaker mode selection is used for application-specific voicing (PA, DJ, Monitor and Soloist) together with an integrated 2-channel mixer featuring dual Wide-Z inputs and an automatic feedback destroyer. The SRM650 is essentially the same design but housing a 15" high-output LF driver and 1.4" titanium dome compression unit. The SRM1850 subwoofer employs a custom high-output 18" woofer in an all-wood, internally-braced front-ported cabinet said to offer near-zero distortion even at high volume. The design incorporates an integrated digital crossover with variable control and presets for other Mackie SRM speakers plus Smart Protect overload protection circuitry. And another thing… The SRM550 uses stereo XLR inputs plus stereo XLR full-range and high-pass outputs and features an integrated cup for easily pole-mounting of full-range speakers.
