MAC working with CODA Audio

test 24 February 2009

UK: Mick Anderson’s pro-audio business development consultancy, MAC, is continuing to expand, writes David Davies. Following hot on the heels of MAC’s role in the positioning of DiGiCo’s highly successful SD8 console (read more here), the company has been enlisted by German loudspeaker manufacturer CODA AUDIO to develop its export sales direction on a global basis.

Anderson’s Tunbridge Wells-based consultancy will also help CODA’s owner, Svetley Alexandrov, to position his company in order to make the most of the international market.

“I have long believed that technology with good credibility deserves a position if all the other pegs are in place, and they are with CODA,” Anderson (pictured here with Alexandrov) tells PSN-e. “There is a lot of work to be done, but the products stand up extremely well. We look forward to helping elevate the brand to a position where it is better known and has a bigger part of the market share.”

New products are in the pipeline and are due to be shown at ProLight+Sound in April, but the main emphasis for now is on raising market awareness.

“There are a lot of speaker brands out there, and with the best will in the world it is very difficult to get an intimate knowledge of all of them,” admits Anderson. “A lot of people in the marketplace know about a group of products in quite good detail, and it’s our first task to make sure that the CODA brand name is included in that group.”

MAC’s involvement with CAMCO and DiGiCo is ongoing, and in light of the company’s expanding workload it has announced the appointment of Nick Moon to a full-time role. Formally qualified in process-based project management technique PRINCE2, Moon has extensive experience of the corporate IT sector.
