Lobbying for Live Sound at the Pro Sound Awards22 May 2014
Lobby now for the Live/Touring Sound categories!
The lobbying period for the Pro Sound Awards 2014 is nearing its end and the awards night (25 September) is approaching rapidly! You only have until 31 May to send us your entries as to whom you think should be in the shortlists this year. If you’ve not submitted anything yet, it’s time to get emailing!
To inspire you, we’re revisiting last year’s inaugural event to see who received awards in the Live Sound categories.
Jim Warren won Live/Tour Sound Engineer of the Year (sponsored by Medialease) and sent a video message of thanks from Montreal, where he was on tour with The Reflektors.
Audio Electronics Mattijsen won Best Tour Sound Production for their handling of the coronation of King Willem-Alexander in the Netherlands. Roland Mattijsen sent a message, read out by PSNEurope’s Dave Robinson, saying: “As we have a new king or queen only every other 30 years, we can look back at a very successful project and a huge amount of positive reactions from everybody, including you.”
Mark Saunders (pictured) of Sennheiser was there in person to receive the After-Sales Support award.
To make a nomination for any of the three Live/Touring Sound categories, visit the Pro Sound Awards website or email us at email@example.com and send us your short pitch (up to a maximum of 300 words) for each award under consideration. Lobbying is free, anyone can make suggestions and it’s easy to contribute.
All you need to do is read through the categories and see which one(s) you feel you want to make a pitch for: either nominating yourself, your team, an associate, or just a project or person you have been impressed with and want to give wider recognition.
Headphone/microphone giant Sennheiser has confirmed that it will repeat its headline sponsorship at the second Pro Sound Awards.
