K.M.E._s PANO pops up

test 8 February 2006

Germany: The Gewandhaus Theatre in Zwickau was the venue for the launch of K.M.E.’s new PANO line array system. Managing director Dieter Glass and Swen Strobel (product & application management) presented the products to the audience of national and international visitors, outlining the technical details and the system concept.

PANO has been designed for both mobile use and fixed installations. “We are aiming to provide hire companies and installers with a flexible product that can be customised to changing requirements,” says Swen Strobel. “The system is equally suitable for big events such as live concerts and open air festivals and for product and show presentations in difficult acoustic environments where precise sound alignment influences the quality significantly.”

PANO consists of the line array unit QL 906, the flight- and stackable subwoofer QLB 118 and two system rack combinations – SR 4800 for passive channelling and SR 7100 for complete active channelling. The 2-way line source unit QL 906 is equipped with two 1-Iinch drivers coupled to a wave-former-horn combination and two 8-inch neodymium speakers combined with AQF acoustic filters. The PANO-Focus software allows a two-dimensional simulation of the acoustic sources of the line array.
