ISE 2013: Shure debuts Microflex Wireless

Integrated Systems Europe opens today in Amsterdam, where Shure is unveiling its new Microflex Wireless system (MXW) for corporate boardroom and meeting room environments.   Shure’s MXW system includes wireless microphone transceivers, docking chargers, access point transceivers and multi-channel networking interfaces.   All MXW components are fully networked via standard Ethernet (TCP/IP) which allows for status monitoring of all system elements including real-time battery conditions as well as remotely changing the gain of the microphones.   MXW is compatible with AMX, Crestron and other touchscreen controllers and readily interconnects with teleconferencing audio and other sound processors.   The browser-based Microflex Wireless Control software automates key features such as system setup, and is password-protectable.   “For sites where AV and IT teams manage conferencing solutions that span rooms, floors and even buildings, MXW components extend the reach and optimise the time of team resources,” said Michael Suchanka, senior product manager at Shure Europe.   “All Shure MXW elements are accessible via standard Ethernet. Their embedded browser-based software allows individual components to be setup, managed, monitored and controlled on-site or remotely from a laptop. Enterprise-scale microphone solutions have never been more intuitive or flexible.”
