Waves Audio announced at InfoComm today that Lawo will integrate its plug-ins and SoundGrid technology in Lawo’s mc²-series consoles (mc²66 pictured).

Running the Waves MultiRack plug-in host application on Lawo consoles will offer users Waves’ real-time, low-latency processing – including reverbs, equalisers, compressors, limiters and delays – for live broadcasts, post-production, live mixing and theatre sound.

“Our cooperation with Waves has been very fruitful, and also extremely enjoyable,” says Christian Struck, senior product manager of audio production at Lawo. “Both companies are very straightforward, so our R&D teams were able to integrate Waves’ plugin solutions with our consoles in a very short time.

“The integration of Waves products gives our customers access to Waves’ comprehensive plug-in collection, which is a perfect complement to our system, especially for live and install sound applications.”

Mick Olesh, Waves’ EVP of sales and marketing, comments: “Waves is delighted to collaborate with Lawo and is pleased to give [its] users easy access to Waves plug-ins on Lawo consoles. This cooperation with Lawo realises our ongoing commitment to provide our customers with the freedom to use Waves plug-ins in all settings and environments.”
