InfoComm 09 set to open this Sunday

US: Once again, the Florida gathering will provide an opportunity to "experience the power of AV", reports PSN-e. Scheduled to take place from June 14-19 (conference) and 17-19 (exhibition) at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, InfoComm 09 is set to host exhibitors including Audio-Technica, Bose, DiGiCo (whose SD8 console is pictured), Harman Pro, Mackie, Martin Audio, Meyer Sound, Neutrik, Sennheiser, Shure and Yamaha.

Companies to have revealed their plans for the show include Bose, which will show the new L1 Compact portable line array system. The new product features an integrated low-frequency enclosures and combines the amplifier, monitor, PA, mixer and EQ into a complete audio system ready for simple connection to an instrument, microphone, MP3 player, computer or other audio device.

DiGiCo will showcase a selection of its consoles at InfoComm, include the SD7, SD8 and large-format CS-D5. The company will also highlight its MACH2 Software Suite for the SD7. Now available onboard all new SD7 consoles, and as a free upgrade to all existing SD7 owners, the suite offers a number of enhancements, including: DiGi-TuBe – Super FGPA preamp emulation available on all 256 processing channels; Dynamic EQ – individually switchable and now available on all 256 processing paths and four EQ bands; and Multi Band Compressor – on all 256 paths, adding an extra two compressors per path.

Mackie will debut its HD Series High-Definition powered loudspeakers. The HD1521 2-way and HD1531 3-way incorporate Class-D amplifier technology, delivering up to 1,800W of peak system power. HD Series loudspeakers feature 15" neodymium woofers and 1.75" heat-treated titanium compression driver. The HD1531 3-way also features a 6′ mid-range driver and Mackie’s optimised WaveFront mid/high horn system for wide, consistent coverage.

Neutrik will introduce opticalCON QUAD, a four-channel version of its fibre optic connector system. Designed specifically for multi-channel point-to-point cabling applications, the opticalCON QUAD is IP65-rated for dust tight and water jet protection. It features three variations including 4-channel, 4-channel X-treme and Triple-Split 12-channel assemblies.
