Herv_ Odini joins Digigram

test 10 February 2009

FRANCE: The company has also been exhibiting its latest audio networking products, reports PSN-e. Previously EMEA OEM sales head for Sun Microsystems, Herve Odini has joined Digigram in the role of international sales director. He will be responsible for all three of Digigram’s international sales offices (Grenoble, Singapore and Arlington) as well as heading up the Field Marketing department based at company HQ in Montbonnot.

First priority for Odini will be the development of sales strategies across the three territories. "The prospect of defining and implementing the company’s sales strategy is hugely exciting, and I hope that my experience and enthusiasm will have a positive effect on an already highly motivated and competent sales team," he said.

Meanwhile, last week’s ISE exhibition saw the company showcase PYKO, which is a range of professional IP audio endpoints and an advanced software solution that, says Digigram, will "help build clever and manageable digital audio networks".

The solution is designed to suit a wide range of professional audio applications that need to distribute digital audio over shared IP networks, including transportation, background music and paging.

Digigram’s business development manager – public address, Philippe Onillon, also expects PYKO to strike a chord with broadcast organisations. "This would be a very simple, cost-effective solution for smaller broadcasters," he says.

In development for approximately 18 months, PYKO is available now and is already set for at least one major implementation.

"There will be a public transportation application in France," says Onillon, who is unable to reveal specific details at this stage.
