Henry leaves Grass Valley for field of finance

Fineline Media Finance has announced the senior appointment of Alan Henry as sales director. Henry joins the Richmond-based company from Grass Valley where he held the role of Northern Europe regional Director.

Prior to his GV role, Henry (left of photo) was UK and European sales director for Miranda, and has also held senior roles with Barco and Snell & Wilcox. In his new role Henry will be responsible for a sales team of five.

The appointment follows Gareth Wilding’s promotion to managing director of Five Arrows Leasing Limited, the company of which Fineline Media Finance is one of three trading divisions.

Alan Henry said: “Fineline has an excellent reputation in the industry, and I am looking forward to expanding the reach of the company while supporting the sales team.”

Gareth Wilding (right), MD, Five Arrows Leasing Limited, said: “Alan’s extensive experience with leading broadcast manufacturers and his in-depth understanding of the industry will be of significant benefit both to our team and to our clients.”

Of his own promotion, Wilding added: “I have taken the reins at a time in the company’s history when our ultimate parent and shareholder Rothschild has become more directly involved in supporting and encouraging our growth. This has enabled us to offer the government’s Regional Growth Fund (RGF) grants.

“So far interest in the RGF from our suppliers and customers has been very encouraging, enabling us to support a wide range of applications, including LED screens from China, Touchscreen LCDs, the first ever Coda line array speaker system sold in the UK, as well as OB trucks, camera systems and lenses.

“With what we have planned, the next few years promise to be very exciting.”
