Great night for British talent at GRAMMYs

This year’s GRAMMY award show was an extremely successful night for Adele. The British singer/songwriter took home every single GRAMMY she was nominated for, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year for “Rolling in the Deep,” co-written by producer Paul Epworth.   Epworth, meanwhile, took home a GRAMMY of his own, winning Producer of the Year. He is also shortlisted for the 2012 Music Producers Guild (MPG) Producer of the Year award, which will be handed out at the Café De Paris, London, on February 16th 2012.   Richard Lightman, vice chair of MPG commented: “We are really delighted to hear of MPG member Paul Epworth’s success at the Grammys and would like to offer our warmest congratulations. Paul is a very talented producer who consistently delivers great work. He has been the recipient of MPG Awards in the past and it is really satisfying to see his achievements being recognised in the US as well.”   As previously reported by PSNE, Beggars Group founder and chairman Martin Mills will also be honoured at this year’s MPG Awards for Outstanding Contribution to UK Music. Beggars label XL released Adele’s second album in January 2011.
