Crossover AV specified a number of Bose FreeSpace 3 omni-mount speaker systems for the three-storey, 9,500sqft new Lush flagship store on Oxford Street, London.

In addition to specifying the shop’s multi-zoned background music system, Crossover’s brief included the delivery of custom-designed/manufactured MP3 listening stations.

The new store’s audio system needed to fit aesthetically as well as acoustically – the ceilings are high and cavernous, floors polished and reverberant and walls hard and untreated – so FreeSpace 3 was chosen for both its “good bass response and clarity” and “the flexibility in terms of placement that is afforded by the ability to neatly hang the systems from the ceiling”.

“The project results delivered were better than expected,” says Lush Retail’s project manager, Jennifer Hilton. “The audio sounds great, [with] nice bass, and we love the hanging pendants.”
