Flare Audio has succesfully funded the Kickstarter campaign for its Reference R2 earphones, hitting £100,000 yesterday (Sunday 31 May).

The crowdfunding campaign, launched in early May (see Flare launches Kickstarter for new “distortion-free” Reference R2 earphones), has raised £122,686 at the time of writing.

“We’re delighted with the overwhelming support and backing the company’s been shown from audio fans during this campaign,” Flare Audio’s CEO, Davies Roberts, exclusively tells PSNEurope. “From respected pro and consumer reviewers to huge levels of forum activity, the whole campaign and our approach to creating distortion-free, immersive, crystal-clear sound has been discussed and welcomed. We’re now concentrating on getting our earphones delivered to our backers as soon as possible.”

There are just 51 hours until the headphones included in the Kickstarter deal return to full price – get them now at www.kickstarter.com/projects/584645150/flare-audio-a-revolution-in-pure-sound.
