Entries open for Shure's Call for Legends band contest

Shure’s band contest, the Call for Legends – Live, is aimed at talented young bands who are great live performers.

The competition is now open and runs until 22 December and all bands within the EMEA region – Europe, Middle East and Africa – irrespective of genre can participate.

All they have to do is upload a band profile in English and an accompanying YouTube video to prove their live performance skills. In addition to receiving Shure gear worth €5,000, the winning band will perform at the Montreux Jazz Festival, plus, a professional video crew will film the entire performance.

Only bands earning at least 50 votes from the community are qualified to make it onto the shortlist which will be sent to the panel. The panel of judges who will select the overall winners consists of UK indie band Blossoms, the Montreux Jazz Festival and Shure.

Last year’s winner was Arta Jekabsone from Latvia, while Welsh band Fingertrap won Shure’s Call for Legends competition in 2014.
