Electro-Voice equipment specified for prestigious Berlin ball

test 22 April 2008

GERMANY: Pro audio contractor TSE AG made extensive use of Electro-Voice equipment at the recent gala ball of the ADAC Group Berlin-Brandenburg, held in Berlin’s Hotel Maritim. The lavish event – which attracted some 4,000 guests – featured a diverse bill of dance and musical performances, writes David Davies.

Under the supervision of project manager Adrian Carlin, the TSE team utilised eight EV XLD line array elements to the right and left of the stage in the main hall of the hotel, with four more elements situated in the centre of the stage. Power came from EV TG-7 power amplifiers. The system was configured, controlled and monitored using IRISNet.

Helmut Seidl, marketing services Europe representative at Bosch Communications Systems/EVI Audio, tells PSN-e: “My feedback from all relevant parties is very positive – the use of the XLE system was the ideal choice because it provided maximum punch and intelligibility [despite] having limited space. EV’s line array system is variable, reliable and easy to set up. Powered by remotely controlled TG-7 amps via IRISNet software, [the specification] enabled all parameters to be monitored without any problems. I consider this line-up to be a perfect match for all similar venues.”
