Around 70 Electro-Voice dealers and others attended a pro-audio academy held in Ukraine in mid-November.

E-V’s Ukrainian partner, Sound House Pro, undertook a series of training seminars during the two-day event, which was organised in collaboration with Cortmi and took place in Dnipropetrovsk.

The academy focussed mainly on products from the current Electro-Voice range, including: the ZxA1 loudspeaker family; microphones from the N/DYM , PL and RE series; CPS series amplifiers; the N8000 audio matrix; and the Dx46 FIR Drive Sound System Processor

“The positive feedback on the Dx46 was overwhelming,” reports said one of the course conductors, E-V export manager for Eastern Europe, Christian Greß, “and no wonder, as it offers users of Electro-Voice systems not only comprehensive loudspeaker protection but also the option of six-channel FIR-Drive without complications – an extremely attractive system upgrade!”

Summing up the two-day event, organiser Andrej Garkaviy commented: “The idea of including practical seminars has once again been vindicated. Many of the talks were followed by discussions in which there was a lively and productive exchange of practical ideas.

“The level of interest in our products among attendees from the Western Ukraine, where our position for historical reasons has been less strong in the past, is particularly gratifying. So, from our standpoint as well as theirs, the seminars were a total success.”
