D.A.S’ Aero the toast of Fuertem_sica music festival

SPAIN: D.A.S. Audio systems featured heavily once again at this year’s Fuertem_sica La Caja de Canarias Festival, held at the El Cotillo Nature Reserve on the island of Fuerteventura. Sound and lighting supplier and installer Audioluz Canarias provided a grand total of 24 Aero 38 line array elements and 12 Aero 218 subwoofers, writes David Davies.

Managed by Roberto Santana, Francisco Rodr_guez and Eduardo Santana, Audioluz Canarias has been in the business for more than 25 years. For this event, the company provided a total of 24 Aero 38 line array elements, placing 12 on each side of the stage. Low frequency reinforcement was taken care of by 12 Aero 218 subs installed at the foot of the stage, with Aero 28As and two ST-1800 units handling front fill and side fill, respectively.

The specification also incorporated QSC PowerLight amplifiers and two D.A.S. DSP-3VS digital signal processors. Monitoring duties were handled by two D.A.S. Compact-015s and two SM-15As, together with eight SML-12A units from the Stage Monitor series.

Consoles specified were both Yamaha, with a PM5D at FOH and an SML7 at monitors.

A line-up featuring local, national and international talent included Los Aterciopelados, Los Pecados de Ad_n, Concha Buika, Vanexxa and La Troba Kung Fu.
