test 24 March 2009

US: The Chicago-based manufacturer has also announced the introduction of the AxePort Pro Video Contest, writes David Davies. The new website features product testimonials, audio samples and a community section, wherein artists including guitarist Kenny Lee Lewis and guitarist/producer/composer Bob Daspit discuss their experiences with CEntrance products.

According to CEntrance, the audio samples “make it easy to hear the clear sonic advantages of the MicPortPro and AxePort Pro over more expensive products from larger manufacturers”.

The company has also redesigned the licensing section of the website and announced availability of 64-bit Vista drivers for all popular FireWire and USB platforms, along with a number of reference designs for OEM customers.

Michael Goodman (pictured), managing director of CEntrance, tells PSN-e: “MicPort Pro and AxePort Pro are portable products that are easy to use and record with professional results. The new CEntrance website features audio samples recorded by studio musicians, allowing [visitors] to hear the sonic advantages and professional-grade 24-bit/96kHz recording quality of the MicPort Pro and AxePort Pro. CEntrance also revamped its OEM licensing section, offering to upgrade any microphone with MicPort Pro technology, a host of FireWire, USB and Ethernet solutions, and 64-bit drivers for Windows XP and Vista.”

CEntrance has also launched a video contest designed to demonstrate the ease of use of AxePort Pro. AxePort users are invited to enter a cash prize for making a better video than the mock video featured on the CEntrance website. The sub-two-minute videos are to be posted on YouTube and a link sent to CEntrance at with entry information. Full contest information is available here.
