Britannia Row reinforces Tinie Tempah tour14 April 2014
London-based Britannia Row Productions supplied an L-Acoustics K2 system for the first two gigs of Tinie Tempah’s twelve-date tour and a K1 system for the arena shows. The tour is taking place across the UK over 19 days.
Front of house engineer Mark Kennedy, explains: “We just played two nights at Wolverhampton Civic and it was great. Most of the venues we play are ten thousand plus capacity, but these first two, Wolverhampton and Manchester Apollo are smaller so we are playing two nights in each.”
Britannia Row Productions’ client liaison Lez Dwight, comments: “We were always going to provide the smaller K2 for side hangs at the larger venues.”
“Putting them on the truck for these first two shows was a sensible solution. More to the point, Mark is an experienced engineer who we know well; we’re always interested to get feedback from engineers of his stature when they try out our new systems on their own for the first time.”
“This was the first time I’d ever heard K2 and I loved it,” continues Kennedy.
“In fact I was astonished at how good it could sound. During the show I don’t need to know if the system tech’ has cut 3kHz a couple of dB off the front fills; I can’t walk there myself and check.
Tinie Tempah’s tour ends this April, however he has confirmed three festival appearances in July.
