Blue Microphones en•CORE 30010 August 2010
What is it?A live condenser microphone with an open architecture design and high build quality for stage and performance applications. DetailsThe en•CORE 300 is built on Blue’s custom-tuned condenser capsule technology used in its studio microphone line. This is mounted on a rubber suspension system and coupled with a phantom powered circuit specifically tuned to match the capsule to provide vocal clarity, consistent tone and low noise whatever the cable length on stage. en•CORE’s open architecture design maximises air volume in the capsule chamber, offering an consistent sound, regardless of how the microphone is gripped. This design allows for the flow of air around the top and bottom of the capsule, which according to Blue, reduces in-chamber resonances and produces a more natural tone.Built to handle the rigors of the road, the en•CORE 300 features a reinforced chassis that doubles as a protective frame for the capsule, along with a heavy-gauge zinc barrel grip to protect microphone components and reduce resonance. The electro-plated parts and hardened paint finishes are said to offer maximum scratch resistance while the Blue logo on the side of the mic incorporates an LED which lights to indicate active phantom power in the preamp circuit.
