BKSTS to support Beyond HD Masters 2013

The British Kinematograph, Sound and Television Society (BKSTS) has pledged its support for sister publication TVBEurope’s Beyond HD Masters 2013 conference taking place on Tuesday 11 June at BAFTA.
Founded in London, BKSTS serves the growing film industry. As well as meetings, presentations, seminars, international exhibitions and conferences, BKSTS also organises an extensive programme of training courses, lectures, workshops and special events.
As craft skills and technology continually advance, the BKSTS provides its members with opportunities to remain current with the latest techniques through master classes. Close links are forged and maintained with other like-minded organisations throughout the world.
The BKSTS has a graded membership scheme, which enables entry at any level of profession. The organisation is represented through agents in Asia, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Egypt, France, India, Ireland, South Africa, Turkey and the US.
In support of Beyond HD Masters, the event follows the successful series of HD and 3D Masters conferences from TVBEurope that helped to chart and forecast the maturation of HD and 3D in the broadcast market.
Beyond HD Masters 2013 asks the question: what’s next on the horizon for European broadcast TV? If high definition is the new standard definition, then what’s beyond HD? Is 4K the next target for high-end TV production, broadcast and display? And what role for 3D in the future – niche curiosity or mass acceptance?
