BBC S&PP’s Scott Talbott to speak at PSNPresents…22 January 2015
Scott Talbott, Bafta-nominated craft manager at BBC Studios and Post Production (S&PP), is the first confirmed speaker for March’s inaugural PSNPresents…, the first in a series of networking events hosted by PSNEurope.
Talbott (pictured) leads BBC S&PP’s studio sound team of sound supervisors, grams operators, crew leaders and sound assistants. He has 40 years’ experience mixing sound for live TV production across a variety of programme genres. Recent credits include The Armstrong and Miller Show, Children in Need, the General Election, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Comic Relief, I’d Do Anything and the BBC’s 2010 Commonwealth Games coverage from New Delhi.
He has also been nominated for multiple Bafta Awards for sound, and is now frequently asked to sit on the judging panel for awards, including the RTS Craft Awards for sound and Bafta craft nominations.
PSNPresents…, which takes place on 12 March at the Ham Yard Hotel, is inspired by The Pre-Roll section of last year’s Pro Sound Awards, centred around a sequence of on-stage interviews and panels with leading lights from the pro-audio spectrum.
Focusrite was confirmed as the first event sponsor yesterday (see Focusrite confirmed as PSNPresents… sponsor).
A variety of sponsorship packages are available for the event. Contact Ryan O’Donnell (firstname.lastname@example.org), Darrell Carter (email@example.com) or Rian Zoll-Khan (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
