BBC 6 Music presenter to host MPG Awards

test 12 January 2010

UK: Nemone Metaxas (pictured) will helm the Music Producers Guild (UK) Awards for the second year running, reports PSN-e. Only balcony tickets now remain for the 2010 Music Producers Guild (UK) Awards, which will take place at the Cafe de Paris in London on February 11.

In addition to presenting The Lunchtime Show on BBC 6 Music, Metaxas (pictured) also deputises for Janice Long on Radio 2 and has hosted a number of events for the BBC’s Electric Proms season.

"Nemone did a fantastic job of hosting our inaugural Awards last year and we are thrilled that she has agreed to be part of this year’s ceremony," said MPG chairman Steve Levine. "As a radio presenter who is renowned for championing a broad spectrum of talent, her obvious love of music makes her the perfect host for an event that rewards creativity."

As indicated above, demand has been strong for the 2010 Awards and only balcony tickets (£80+VAT standing, £105+VAT seated) now remain. The ticket price includes a champagne reception, food and drinks vouchers. After the Awards ceremony, which will last for one hour, the 350-capacity venue will open up, allowing everyone to celebrate regardless of the type of ticket they have purchased.

Tickets can be reserved by telephoning Linzi Young on +44 (0)20 7287 4655 or emailing mpg@bubblesqueak.co.uk.
