Awards glory for PSNE scribe’s studio

test 27 October 2009

UK: out post sound won Best New Business Award at the Brighton and Hove Business Awards, reports David Davies. The Brighton-based post and production audio facility – which is presided over by frequent PSNE contributor Rob Speight – saw off more than 60 other entries in the event’s most hotly-contested category.

Recent projects carried out at the Brighton facility include voice-over for 20th Century Fox with Steve Coogan, ADR for Gold Circle Films for forthcoming Kevin Costner movie The New Daughter, and full audio post (including 5.1 mix) for Too Close to the Truth.

The Brighton and Hove Business Awards took place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel earlier this month and attracted more than 400 guests.

Speight, who is out post’s MD, said that the award represented “the culmination of a couple of years of really hard and frenetic work by the entire out post team, including Robin St. Clair Jones and Charlotte White, who have really helped to shape out post’s fortunes. It is amazing to have all our work validated by such an experienced panel of judges. We would like to thank all of our clients, old and new, in helping to make out post such a success and the best place for film, television and radio post and production audio in the city.”

out post also works as an independent production company for BBC Radio 2 and serves as the exclusive UK distributor for Punchlight cue light systems for DAWs.
