Audio-Technica restructures UK operation

test 26 August 2008

UK: Isabelle Alran has become European sales director for Audio-Technica UK, writes David Davies. London-based Alran – who has been involved with Audio-Technica since 2005 – will also take an active role in the day-to-day UK sales operation. The restructuring of the UK operation follows a period of significant growth and is intended to enable “increased levels of customer service and to provide a solid foundation for future expansion”.

Audio-Technica’s UK area sales managers will now report directly to Alran and will be partnered by dedicated area sales co-ordinators at the company’s head office in Leeds. Additionally, newly appointed UK sales and marketing assistant Tom Harrold will take on responsibility for building on relationships with some of Audio-Technica’s smaller accounts, providing a direct point of contact for independent resellers and dealers.

“At a time when we are releasing a number of winning new products and starting new relationships with new business partners, this restructuring puts in place building blocks for continued growth, while ensuring that Audio-Technica customers continue to receive the highest level of service and customer support,” said Alran. “These are exciting times for the company and the new structure provides a firm foundation for both Audio-Technica’s, and our customers’, future.”

Meanwhile, Audio-Technica is gearing up to show a number of new products at this year’s IBC exhibition in Amsterdam, including the new M2 and M3 wireless in-ear-monitor systems. The company will also exhibit microphones from the Broadcast & Production range, including the AT8004 and AT8004L omni-directional dynamic microphones, and the ATCS60 fully automatic IR conference system.
