EUROPE: iLive Configuration Utility is aimed at customers wishing to buy the new modular digital system, reports PSN-e. The Flash-based web application allows users to build their own iLive system, selecting control surfaces, iDR10 MixRacks and other components as required. The launch of the new online tool follows the recent high-profile appointment of John Hornby Skewes & Co (JHS) as the exclusive UK distributor for Allen & Heath’s PA and ZED series of small format mixers.

“As iLive is modular with a wide variety of options and components, it can be difficult for customers to visualise and cost a system,” said Allen & Heath’s sales director, Bob Goleniowski. “This tool allows them to explore the range of options available, pick and choose according to their requirements, and match their budget. Everything can be saved, recalled and sent to our sales distribution network, which also eliminates any order errors. It will really help streamline the sales process for this complex product.”

Meanwhile, the new deal with JHS sees the distributor taking over responsibilities for the PA Series of powered and unpowered stereo mixers, and the ZED Series of small format USB mixers. The PA Series comprises two powered and three stereo mixers, while the ZED Series includes two 2-bus mixers, three 4-bus mixers and two effects mixers.

“JHS & Co Ltd is delighted to be appointed as the new UK distributor for Allen & Heath ZED and PA series mixer products,” said JHS’ managing director, Dennis Drumm. “It’s refreshing to be selling a world class, English-designed product, and we look forward to bringing the advantages of stocking Allen & Heath to all JHS customers in both our MI and Pro Audio divisions. Allen & Heath is a perfect complement to our other high-end pro-audio brands – HK Audio, LA Audio and Lab.gruppen.”
