AKG wireless microphones, headsets and in-ear monitoring systems were used at the Red Bull Air Race Championships in Croatia, in addition to the AKG AV100 aviation headphones, co-designed by Hannes Arch.

The system featured the AKG DAM+ Series gooseneck microphones, equipped with CK49 capsules for the desks, with AKG WMS4500, DHT700 and DMS700 wireless microphone systems used to capture the sound of live commentators and the winners of the contest.

Walter Rührig, artist & key customer relations at AKG says: “Red Bull wanted to bring pristine audio performance and crystal-clear communication to this competition, which is why these AKG systems were perfect solutions for the Red Bull Air Race,” said

“In an outdoor environment like this, it is essential that we provided gear like the CK49 with windscreens, to reduce wind and pop noise during interviews and live announcements. The equipment performed perfectly without hiccups, which is a testament to AKG’s reliability.”
