AKG head of advertising retires

test 18 August 2009

AUSTRIA: Mathilde Neubauer has called it a day after a remarkable 37 years at the Austrian microphone manufacturer, reports PSN-e. In her long tenure as head of advertising, Neubauer focused primarily on strengthening the position of AKG products in the company’s main markets of the USA, Europe and Asia.

Neubauer retired with effect from August 1. AKG vice-president, marketing, Alfred Reinprecht, is to add her responsibilities to his existing duties.

"AKG is famous for making premium quality microphones and headphones, many of which have become legends," commented Reinprecht. "Mathilde Neubauer proves that many of the people behind our products have become legends, too. I would like to thank her personally for contributing to the development of the AKG brand for all these years."
