Adamson’s SpekTrix in Philippines first

An Adamson Systems’ SpekTrix line array has been installed in the Quadricentennial Pavilion at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, marking the first installation in the Philippines for Adamson.   The crowning feature of the Pavilion, which was built in celebration of the university’s 400th anniversary, is a 5,014sqm gymnasium with gallery seating large enough to hold 5,792 people. Retractable bleachers at courtside can make room on the floor for staging and a podium, for musical performances or graduation ceremonies.      The Adamson SpekTrix system was designed and installed by Makati City-based Crystal Audio, headed by operations manager Kevin Malupa. Six hangs of four SpekTrix enclosures with a single SpekTrix sub were flown; two arrays at the opposite ends facing out, and four arrays along the court’s length, placed left and right of the centre. Four supplementary trapezoidal fill boxes were used to flood the centre of the court.
