_Substantial increase_ in visitors predicted for ISE 2007

test 9 January 2007

HOLLAND: With this year’s ISE exhibition now less than three weeks away, show organisers have reported that all four halls of the host venue – Amsterdam RAI – are now full, with more than 350 exhibitors due to take part.

The 2007 exhibition – which takes place from Jan 30th-Feb 1st – will also incorporate a number of new features, including a multi-media conferencing pavilion that will offer visitors the chance to learn about emerging technologies in audio, video and data/web conferencing solutions.

“This is something really focused on key corporate users looking for conferencing solutions, as well as integrators who are installing things like that,” ISE managing director Mike Blackman tells PSN-e. “Companies like ClearOne and ACT are in there, with a number of other companies in that area – including Listen Technologies and Sony – dotted around the floor. So there’s been quite a big jump in the direction of professional conferencing solutions.”

The 2006 exhibition attracted nearly 11,000 visitors, but Blackman says industry feedback suggests there will be a sizeable increase on that figure this time around: “I can’t give any guarantees but I think you’re going to see a substantial increase over last year.”

Making a return visit to ISE in 2007 is the InfoComm International large venue and digital cinema display area, which will demonstrate how large visual displays work in combination with HD technologies and special projection facilities. Other items on the agenda include a series of seminars and education sessions, among them two new AV Trade forums and a programme of discussions about AV integration techniques.
