+1 for KV2 Audio

test 18 November 2008

UK: KV2 Audio has undertaken a restructure and appointed Tom Weldon to oversee UK customer support, writes David Davies. The sound reinforcement manufacturer has also promoted former UK sales manager Mick Butler to the position of UK sales director.

Based in Harrogate, KV2 currently offers three main product lines – ES, EX and VHD – along with the new KX Audio brand.

Company president and CEO Jonathan Reece-Farren (pictured centre with colleagues Nerea L. Aguirre, Weldon, Butler, Andy Austin-Brown and Dave Ball) put the latest raft of developments in context. “In the current economic climate, and with the advent of our KX brand, we have taken the opportunity to revisit our business model, rationalising in certain areas which were not working effectively, and at the same time introducing further key personnel both in [the Czech Republic] and UK offices to help take the company to the next level,” he explained.

While Weldon will head up UK customer support responsibilities, Butler will oversee key accounts and spearhead business development of the forthcoming KX Audio ranges.

“I am honoured to accept this promotion having seen the company make real headway during the last 12 months,” said Butler. “We are regularly coming up against the top names in the industry, being put forward as a preferred choice by consultants and specifiers, winning shootouts and gaining real market acceptance and credibility.”

Recent applications of note for KV2 Audio products include the specification of EX6 compact speakers as part of a revamp at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange, and the deployment of an ES system at Beth Rowley’s concert at The Sage Gateshead.
